At Beacon Roof & Exterior Cleaning we have a method of killing algae, washing, and treating your stained and infested home or business using a completely safe and proven soft wash chemical cleaning system. This is a safe wash that will last 4 to 6 times longer than pressure washing. This same process has been used for nearly 20 years and has been proven safe and effective for cleaning pool decks, soffits, gutters, wood decks, fences, siding, screen enclosures, tile roofs, shingle roofs, wood roofs, metal roofs, driveways, and pavers.

For many years, roof discoloration caused by algae has been observed throughout the United States and Canada. The discoloration usually has a brown to black appearance and may be mistaken for soot, dirt, moss, or tree droppings.
The primary species of algae being observed is called Gloeocapsa Magma. This type of algae is contained in and transported through the air and tends to collect and grow upon roofing structures. Natural pigments produced by this algae may cause a white or light colored roof to gradually turn brown or black. The algae discolorations should not be confused with moss or tree droppings, which typically produce only localized discolorations.

My first choice for this job was Jacobs Pressure Cleaning, simply because they showed up first in a Google search. They were very disrespectful to me. They didn't show up at the appointed time, didn't bother to call, and hung up on me when I complained.
Doing more thorough research, I found Beacon. They were a totally opposite experience from Jacobs. They were very courteous, and even showed up almost two hours early. A three-member crew worked very professionally and efficiently. Their performance exceeded my expectations -- and their price came in about $100 less than Jacobs.
I was so impressed that I asked them for business cards I could hand out to my neighbors when they need a pressure wash.
