This review is in regards to my 2nd visit to the spa on the weekend after valentine's day. Unlike my first visit on a Saturday morning, my second visit was late in the afternoon. My masseuse, Jason, is THE best! I had no complaints the first time, and none the second time. He uses the perfect amount of pressure, did not miss a single spot (yes, I was waiting to find something to complain about because it's been a decade since I've found someone who does an excellent job at massaging) and he gave great tips and advice post massage. As for the spa, meh. The quiet room does not have comfy seating. There are a couple of padded benches and several nice massage chairs but they do not recline and there are no ottomans so it's a little awkward trying to sit comfortably whilst in a robe and having to keep your knees squeezed together to keep from flashing other patrons. It's dark with dim lighting which is nice, but it makes it hard to read the massage controls or read a book or magazine. I did find some little flashlights, but the lights were not working and/or you had to press and hold really hard to keep the light on. The water jug was empty for the first 10 minutes. The women's dressing room is nice enough. The towels were old and ragged (frayed, faded, mismatched) which surprised me. The shower head needs to be retired. It is meant to be adjustable to different heights but once you get it into position and tighten the knob, it doesn't hold in place. I vote for a nice rain shower head:-). One last gripe is that they have all the toiletries one would need except for the most important after shower necessity.........LOTION! My husband said he went out to the gals at the reception area and they provided him with some. I, on the other hand, learned of the lack of lotion during my first visit so I packed my own. So, most memorable was the spacious massage room with heated massage table and the excellent 10-star massage given by Jason. I will be back!
