We have used the Benicia Cat Clinic for 10 plus years with never a complaint. We wouldn't take our cat anywhere else. Patient and thorough service, and we love Dr. Rau. Enthusiastically recommended.

Words cannot express how supportive the staff was in our time of troubles. A late night phone call came in and we had to evacuate our home NOW. Grabbed 3 terrified cats who spent the night caged and in our car. Brought the cats to Benicia Cat Clinic the next day where the staff not only took care of the cats, but were very supportive of us and our plight.

My son called me at work on Saturday morning and told me that something was wrong with Rose, she we hissing and acting strange. He watched her for a while and saw that she was licking her thigh and then saw that there was blood and pus on her fur. He was able to make her an appointment at the cat clinic for a few hours later so I could take her when I got off work.

She was seen promptly and is making a rapid recovery from her infected wound. The staff and vet at the Cat Clinic were wonderful and their fees were very fair, especially as it was on a weekend.

First of all we really like the veterinarian, Dr. Anne Marie, who examined our cats Loki and Ellie. She was thorough in her exam and exhibited great care for our cats.

During the examination I asked if she would clip their nails as part of the physical.

She clipped their nails and it took about a minute and a half for each cat. We were charged $25 for each cat. $50 for 3 minutes of work! Too much!!

During the exam Dr. Anne Marie recommended we get a health certificate for each cat, as we will soon be traveling by air with both cats to the East Coast. We were charged $100 for the health certificate! Which took 5 minutes to complete. This was one piece of paper with the names of both cats. And we charged for 2 certificates, $50 for each. This is unreasonable!

I understand that you are running a business and there are costs to be met, but these charges, which they would not budge on, are excessive. To me this amounts to price gouging.

I have been a customer and my cats have been patients since 2003. This clinic is special, not just because it is Cat only, but because everyone from the front desk to the Vet Techs to the Doctors have my furry family members best interest in mind.

I cannot imagine taking my cats to any other clinic.

My cat always gets excellent care at the Cat Clinic. Dr. Rau truly cares about cats, and treats them with the utmost gentleness and respect. The calm, quiet environment there makes vet visits much easier for cats, and a pleasant place to be for their guardians. I have recommended the Benicia Cat Clinic many times to nearby friends and neighbors.
