The appointment started late for no apparent reason. The technician was available and sent to Jane just forgotten about us until my son (who is 9) went back to the counter to check-in about the status of the appt.
Once my son was seen, the tech was not very compassionate. Our son was clearly scared by the procedure and no one explained it to him. They just kept proceeding without any warmth or compasson. He was clearly distressed and frightened. A second tech was brought in who was all about "getting it done" rather than supporting him or easing his anxiety. Given that this is the first in a long series of appointments for our young son, this is concerning to me.
We are so sorry to hear this - it sounds like anything that could go wrong, did. Impressions are not easy, and we are sorry that it was scary for him. We will explain things along the way, and we are hopeful that the treatment steps and appliances are tolerable. We appreciate your feedback.
