I was charged $90 and was told that there was nothing wrong with Mia, although she had not been eating for a few days. I took her to another vet (Port Vet) and Mia was diagnosed with an infected tooth, I had a blood test done , fecal test, office exam, and antiboditics for $110 and she has been fine ever since. Would not recommend Best Friends to anyone. You are overpriced and inept.

Mary, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear you weren't happy with the service you received at Best Friends. I see that our Dr. did diagnose Mia with a Grade 3 dental score with severe tartar and gingivitis, and did recommend a dental cleaning and further examination of the mouth under anesthesia. Dental disease can be very painful and lead to other infections in the body, and it requires further examination as well as a cleaning in order to determine the extent of the problem and resolve the issue. She also recommended bloodwork for her lethargy and a heart murmur that was detected to do a workup on any other underlying conditions. We are happy to hear that Mia has been doing better since being seen at Port Vet and are sorry again for any shortcomings you felt you received at our hospital.
