I was charged $90 and was told that there was nothing wrong with Mia, although she had not been eating for a few days. I took her to another vet (Port Vet) and Mia was diagnosed with an infected tooth, I had a blood test done , fecal test, office exam, and antiboditics for $110 and she has been fine ever since. Would not recommend Best Friends to anyone. You are overpriced and inept.

Mary, thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear you weren't happy with the service you received at Best Friends. I see that our Dr. did diagnose Mia with a Grade 3 dental score with severe tartar and gingivitis, and did recommend a dental cleaning and further examination of the mouth under anesthesia. Dental disease can be very painful and lead to other infections in the body, and it requires further examination as well as a cleaning in order to determine the extent of the problem and resolve the issue. She also recommended bloodwork for her lethargy and a heart murmur that was detected to do a workup on any other underlying conditions. We are happy to hear that Mia has been doing better since being seen at Port Vet and are sorry again for any shortcomings you felt you received at our hospital.

All of the staff are amazing! They are loving, caring, and the vets and vet techs are knowledgable and kind. We take all of our pets there and feel they help us make the best decisions for the care of our pet family.

We brought our new kitten into the office. Dr. Horsch and her assistant were wonderful and patient. They answered all of our questions.

Wonderful, caring experience. Our dog who normally cowers in a corner before an appointment was very comfortable. We will recommend Best Friends to our friends. Thank you for the follow low up calls--so nice and shows you really care!

Very good attention to my needs as a pet owner---I appreciate the reminders about my kitty's care.
Also, although I love dogs, my kitty does not, so it is nice that you have a cats-only clinic day each week.
Everyone at Best Friends seems very kind.

We went to four other clinics before finding a diagnosis for our dog. The healthcare provided by Dr. Boss was outstanding. Cushings disease is very challenging to manage. Over the years of care required on a routine basis we needed so much support on many levels. Dr. Boss and her team did not miss a beat, even responded to daily calls from us regarding the care we were challenged with in meeting the needs of our black lab. I cannot say enough about her clinic and her skills. Her team of Veterinarians, technicians and support staff are professional and very caring. The follow up, keeping up with the latest advances in Veterinarian Medicine, cleanliness, services available, education materials and attention to wellness is the reason we continue with BFVC. I know I have told them all thank you so many times and I really still do not feel I have said it enough! We continue with care from BFVC for our 2nd black lab and our grand-dog!!!
