My cleaning was a bit stressful. My jaw was trebling, but I did not understand what the the technician needed me to do; just put my fist under my jaw, but it was rude and not clear.. Before that, she was very abrupt about, simply, opening my mouth. Maybe she could soften up a bit and understand that not everyone can understand her accent. I am happy to work with her, but felt she was very abrupt. I have been coming to Bethesda Family Dentistry for several years, and have not had an issue like this before. I think my jaw issue was my stressful reaction to the technician's manner. I am happy to have her skills again, but hope she understands the patient needs and communication (gentle) of the patient. I have recommended several people to Bethesda Family Dentistry, but would think twice before doing that again. I had to reschedule this appointment because of three weeks earlier, after 40 minute of waiting at the previous appointment, I was told that 'maybe I could step out" for a while (not told how long) because the technician was majority backed up. Left because I did not want to step out for who knows knows how long - very poor process.
With all that said, I really love and appreciate Dr. Cuaves, and think she is an exceptional dentist!
