I had a filling done on Monday, September 10. Prior to the appointment, I discussed with the hygienest and doctor the place in my mouth that needed work, and I also pointed out a small discoloration on a bottom tooth, and was told that area could be taken care of at the same time. The price that I was quoted was $180.00. On Monday, the first filling was taken care of, and then I reminded Dr. Faustino about the small place on my bottom tooth that I was worried about and he worked on that area, too. I was simply shocked to be charged double for having the small filling done on the bottom. Had I known it would be an additional $180.00, I would have waited. I assumed, inaccurately, that since it was so small, it might be covered under the cost of one. For patients that have no insurance, like myself, I think it's really important to be very clear about the costs of procedures, prior to having the work done. I haven't worked in two years and ever penny counts right now!
As for the care and service at Better Smiles, everything has always been wonderful. I just wanted to offer my opinion/suggestion! Thanks.
