I came with the assumption that what would help my appearance was to have filler put in my nasolabial fold - that line that goes from your nostrils to your lips. I appreciated that Jessica didn't just do what I asked but explained the effect of gravity on the face that with age causes the cheeks to flatten and if I got injections in my cheeks, it would raise the skin on my face and lift those lines. I didn't know if also having filler put in those lines would improve my appearance as well or would makes things look unnatural (how much of the line there and sinking at the nostrils is "normal"). She told me she could put filler in there "if I wanted to" but I wanted to know her opinion (e.g. "lines you see are normal in a face, you don't need it"; "it will make you look younger if you did", "it would look unnatural if you did", "the lines aren't that bad and it would cost (x amount of dollars) so the cost/benefit may not be worth it"). Probably my fault for not being specific with my question. Dr. Chui who was always the one who did my fillers before, would give his professional opinion and answer these specific questions without me having to ask. I would definitely recommend her, though.
