Beyond the Fringe Hair Designs is a progressive salon company located in Hillsborough township in central New Jersey. The salons are owned by Donna McCray, a stylist with over 30 years of experience. Donna is a Certified Redken Hair Colorist and has studied with educators Martin Parsons, Randy Rick, Roy Peters, John Delaria, Beth Minardi, Graham Webb educators. She has also attended numerous Redken Exchange Classes and Symposiums.
Our mission is to empower you to look great and feel great, we strive to create personalized style, to educate and to inspire.
We run an associate training program for all new talent, as well as attend monthly in salon classes and classes at Redken 5th Avenue in New York City. Education is the key word: you can never learn too much! Whether it is improving self image, cutting or coloring techniques or people skills, education plays a big part in our business. We touch people in many ways everyday. It's a great feeling when you can put a smile on someone's face and make their day by just giving them a haircut or changing their hair color!
Our goal is to keep our clients up to date on the newest trends. We offer Keratin and Brazilian smoothing systems. We were the first salon in the area to offer Featherlocks feather hair extensions. We also offer the Beach Wave perm and other texturizing services. We do bridal parties and other formal hair styling. We can cut hair with scissors, clippers or razors, and we are experts in foiling and coloring. We use Redken Professional Products and provide Redken Home Care retail products as well as BareMinerals cosmetics.
We are striving for our salon to be one most talked about salons in the area. We have a lot of talented young girls and experienced veteran stylists. Someday, we would love to go to a bigger space and have a boutique so we could make you look good from head to toe!

I am pleased with the services and my stylist is very good. However, raising prices more than 30 percent and not advising your clients of a steep price increase which occurred since their previous appointment six weeks earlier is inconsiderate and unprofessional.
