I love Blondie's. I always receive excellent service and I trust my hair to them. Jo is my preferred stylist and she totally knows what I want and works for me. But I have had to use other stylists in a pinch and they did a great job as well.

I moved from Waltham to Medford a few years ago and I still drive to Waltham to get my hair done.

I am a travel tech working here but I live in Ohio. I was looking for a salon to redo highlights around the crown of my head because I just had my hair done on a visit back home and there was a lot of brassiness in my hair. I came to Blondies because it seemed like a good place close to me in Waltham. When I came in for consult and booked my appt, I was quoted 115 for the partial and she said she would have another person blow dry my hair because she would only cost 25.00 instead of 40.00 that she would charge. She mentioned that they had options if I wanted a gloss or other services and the glosses were 20.00.

I arrived on time for my appt - although I really wanted to stop for coffee I came straight there because I don't like to be late. I waited 20 min past my appt time and no one came out to explain why. The girl who did my hair told me later that she was sorry because her 1st appt was 45 min late. Im not sure what the answer is there but I know that working with patients - I would have to make sure I took my on time patients first or work things out so that everyone wasn't waiting. The person who did my hair was really great. We talked, she got me done in a reasonable amount of time and she did a great job - I was really happy with the color. However, after she shampooed me, she put a gloss on my hair - did not ask if I was ok with the extra cost or explain why I needed it. I don't think it did a lot for my hair once it was done, I would have preferred a conditioning treatment or something else...didn't really think a gloss was necessary. but again, it wasn't offered or explained. She just did it.

The girl who dried my hair was very sweet but I honestly didn't need a blow out - everytime I get my hair color the girl dries my hair included with the service so I can see the color and not leave with wet hair. But ok, I was quoted 25 for the hair drying and just did it. When I went to cash out - 213.00! I have to say at that point I was a little shocked at the price difference but after working all day and spending over 2 1/2 hrs there I just paid and left a tip and went home.

Got a call - they overcharged me 33.00 because they charged me for full instead of partial. I gave them my card info so they could do the refund - decided to look at my receipt.. I was charged 35.00 for gloss, not 20 as quoted. And charged 30.00 for the hairdrying - which honestly I don't think was worth the 25.00 quoted but again, I just did it because I wanted my hair dry.

I know this is very long and detailed but I want to explain what happened because sometimes changes can be made by customer feedback - and I really hope you would take this into consideration. I didn't want to pay that much for my hair but I was able to and just ate the cost. Some people maybe cannot afford to do this - and how many people get overcharged and then worry about the money they just spent on their hair? I think if a price is quoted you should keep it in that ballpark - and give people options for add ons - don't be like used car sales people. Maybe someone budgets for this service and couldn't afford a 35.00 gloss add on but now are stuck paying for it because they had no choice. And if you are going to have someone wait 20 min past their appt time, offer them coffee or come and apologize.

I love my hair, the salon is really nice. and the stylists seem really good. But there is a lot to improve on.

Used Groupon at the Newton location with Merri. The salon is clean and nice, parking in back. Color consultation was excellent as was the color itself. Fresh cut and blow dry (with a soft sell on products used, not pushy at all, actually informative) Left feeling like I just walked out of a salon ;)

when i first came to Newton chiropractic i was in pain , everyone there is and are very pleasant and helpful, . Dr's Burke and Coleman have great bedside manners , they really care about the whole you and want you to feel your best .i've been going a little over a year and between the adjustments , massage therapy and accupunture i am feeling better than i've felt in a while , i am getting the flexibility back which makes me feel better and i can do more .
