I write this review with a heavy heart, as I have enjoyed my previous Blue Heron appointments. I booked a 90-minute massage with Leslie Knee and called to confirm my appointment, practitioner, and verify the type of massage (duration, intensity) with the front desk a few days in advance. I was told that all was in order.
When I arrived, I learned that they had switched my practitioner to someone else. Out of respect for the practitioner involved I won't reveal her name. But when I asked why, I was told that they left me a voicemail the previous evening letting me know (yes, after I checked, they had done this - at 9:45 the night before!).
My massage was NOT what I was expecting. Instead of a practitioner with tons of experience I got a relative newbie who was nice, but far too gentle to the touch. Worse yet, my 90-minute massage ended 15 minutes early. I tried to call later that afternoon to protest, but the person who gave my massage was now staffing the front desk, and frankly, I felt bad complaining.
When Blue Heron prides themselves on meeting client expectations, it is really a shame that they pull this bait and switch nonsense on clients at the last minute. Sure, I should try again, but who knows if next time I'll get what I ask for?
