My experience at the salon and with Sandra were excellent - 5 stars or more! Sandra, you're wonderful!!
However, I didn't find out that I wouldn't be meeting with the person I normally schedule appointments with UNTIL AN HOUR BEFORE I GOT THERE, and only because I called to say I was going to be five minutes late. I travel to this location specifically to meet with that person, and I was informed that this person was "no longer working for the salon.". (I knew this person was about to move and was hoping to see her one last time, as I was told was possible when I called to make the appointment two weeks prior).
The person I spoke to in reception said they "tried to call me" the previous day. I'm sorry, I don't know how you "try to call someone," you either call them or you don't. Also, this person tried to imply it was my phone's issue, not the salon's (though, I had just received a confirmation text a day before that), and if someone had "tried to call," I didn't receive a missed call or a message, nor did this person confirm that a message had been left.
I'm normally not one to be so petty, but this is the SECOND time this salon has used the excuse of "trying to call me." Leave me a voicemail, please! They used to call and leave voicemails to confirm appointments prior to the text confirmation system, so I know they're able.
Also, please accept some responsibility for it! After working it out that my phone was working fine, the person in reception mentioned that they had actually had some issues with their phones at the salon the previous day, and perhaps that was the issue. Again, not my problem nor my phone's fault. Then I was thanked for my patience and flexibility with the situation. Ok....
As mentioned, once you get to the salon, it's top-notch, but I'm a stickler for clear communication and I don't feel like I can say I've had that in my last few phone-interactions with Bombshell.
