I was in for a cut and color on a busy Saturday. My stylist was great and so was everyone else I encountered. I felt gorgeous afterward. However, I am likely not returning to the salon. As I was seated in my chair, my stylist kicked away a pile of hair that had been left there from a previous client. I couldn’t tell if it was originally under my chair or the one next to me. I just figured it was busy so someone couldn’t quite get to it yet, kind of like when you are seated at a restaurant just as they are wiping down the table. No big deal. However, after my color was applied, I glanced around the salon a little more. From where I was seated, I could see bits and strands of hair all over the floors. It was especially evident near the floorboards. Based on color/texture/length, I could tell it was hair from at least 4-5 clients. I was a bit disgusted. After my rinse, I started to wonder how often the bowls and chairs are cleaned. Then I wondered about the tools and such. As I was leaving, I noticed more hair on the ground near the desk and the waiting area. Then I noticed more at door, and even outside the door. Like I said, my stylist did a wonderful job with the cut and style. But the more I thought about it, the more icky I felt (for lack of a better word).

I’m a regular client of the salon and am usually pleased with the service. However, this time the experience was totally off. From a bad hair washing to my stylist being overbooked and sending someone else to perform my service. I was really disappointed with this experience.

I have been here many times but my most recent visit was the worst hair salon experience I’ve ever had. I just needed a trim as I love my natural color, and I felt like I was treated like a second class customer because of it. Unfortunately I missed the name of my hairdresser but it was a pregnant blonde woman. I was literally just squeezed in while a customer who was getting platinum blonde hair done was having the dyes washed out of her hair. The stylist didn’t talk to me before my wash, then came over and took the tiniest bit off of my hair (I asked her to remove all dead ends but she didn’t even touch my layers) and then left me with an assistant (though I sat in the chair with wet hair for 10-15 min waiting for someone else to come over) to dry my hair when platinum blonde was done being washed. Typically I am treated like royalty here, offered drinks, given a consultation before the wash, and the hairdresser sticks with me the entire time instead of abandoning me for a higher paying client. The only reason I’m giving three stars is because my previous experiences have been so good, but if this treatment continues I’m going to have to find a different salon.

Bonne Vie is a wonderful salon. I am extremely pleased with both my haircuts with Laura. The bonus is she is also on time and does not keep me waiting, which is great and appreciated.

The appointment was fast and easy! The salon crew didn’t make me feel that comfortable or welcomed when I got there. To be honest, I don’t know if I would recommend this salon because they were not very nice. The haircut was good though

Everyone at Bonne Vie are the the sweetest and nicest people. My first experience was incredible! Everyone there was very inviting and attentive! My stylist Matt was not only PHENOMENAL, PROFESSIONAL, and PERSONABLE!!!!!! Thank You Matt and team at Bonne Vie for spoiling me and making my hair look great, you guys are AWESOME!
