Excellent service - they saved our trip! Highly recommend this shop. AAA preferred provider
Their towing service is first rate, accommodating our full size extended truck with a ATV loaded in the bed. Their service shop was responsive, ordered /received the parts in minutes and completed the repairs in record time. Their costs were very reasonable. The staff was friendly, offered honest answers, and went above expectations to stay a bit late to help us out.
We were traveling from out of state when we lost all power in our truck, we thought the serpentine belt which controls the alternator, fan, brakes, steering must have broken and we were just about to go into the virgin river canyon - risking breaking down in a construction zone and shutting traffic down. Panic hit, it was Saturday evening, our hotel was still hours away, and we were pulling ATVs. We anticipated being stuck for days dealing with repairs and having to rent a car and find new lodging while waiting.
We called AAA and they dispatched our call to their recommended company to arrange a tow. The AAA representative said the tow truck with arrive with 30 min. While waiting, I started calling auto repair shops in the phone book trying to find one open on a Saturday evening. After calling 6 different shops that work on diesel trucks, I found all closed. Even the local Ford dealer was closed. We felt doomed that we would not be able to find anyone to assess the issue until Monday.
Within 15 minutes the Bracken Tow Truck arrived. The driver was friendly, the truck was clean and he had our truck loaded within minutes. The driver stated he was from a full service shop and while the shop closed in 25 minutes, (it was 4:35 and they close at 5:00), he had notified his shop we were coming. The driver was got us back to the shop and one of the service men jumped up to look at the truck engine while still on the tow truck bed. After several moments of assessment, they informed us it appeared to be a seized pulley; they could order the part from NAPPA and try replacing it this evening. With time ticking, we entered the shop waiting area and were considered our options and expecting the worst. Within minutes we saw the NAPPA deliver truck arrive. At a little after 5, they came over to inform us our truck was fixed and we saw them pulling it up out front. We could not believe our luck, in fact we even asked if they were certain this was fixed and would take us the hundreds of miles remaining on our trip. They went on to explain that it was just the pulley and that the damage was minimal. Where the pulley attached had some damage, but they were able to remove the damaged one (they gave us the broken pieces), and installed the new part. The belt appeared to be in good shape and they reattached. They gave us their honest answers about this repair and chances of this being a long term fix.
Having expected the worst, we were very happy to be on the road so quickly and with minimal charge for the repair. It has now been several weeks and we have driven several thousand miles without any issues.
