Our Dexter had a pancreatitis attack Saturday, pur regular vet was closed. Took him to Bradenton veterinary emergency. Wonderful people and Doctors. Sincerely cared about dexter, explained treatment to go forward with, and an estimation of cost. They assured me they would do everything to make him better, and they did. Called with updates, and let us know how he was doing. Excellent care, if he ever has another emergency, I no doubt will take him back.
Services provided were overly expensive for what was done. Staff was supposed to be briefed on our dog's condition and clearly were not as we had to go over it with them in a rushed scenario. They were under the impression we were going on some sort of vacation when that was not the case at all. Our dog has a serious medical condition that must be monitored after vaccines or any administration of medication other than his own.
Then when we picked up our dog he was not himself at all. He was clearly distraught and upset and would not eat. Still will not eat. And he is still is only a shadow of the loving animal we dropped off for observation only. We have no idea what happened to him or why, only that we are very disappointed in the service and in the great expense to simply observe our animal for adverse reactions to his vaccines.
But this is the only emergency vet near our home so there isn't much we can do to avoid a similar experience.
I am so very sorry that you were not satisfied with the services you received! I personally had Koda under my care the entire weekend and he did fantastic for us. He ate every time he was offered and took his medication in the canned food you provided. We even provided him with a Kong toy stuffed with his food to keep him busy since he is a puppy (young adult) and is not used to being kenneled for long periods of time. He was taken out multiple times per day, when it was not raining. Please do not hesitate to call to discuss your frustration. You were given an estimate over the phone for care and your bill was $105 less than we originally quoted! We monitored Koda closely for any vaccine reaction or seizures while in our care. We were under the impression you were out of town and that is why we were keeping him, I am sorry if that was not the correct information.

All of the staff was knowledgeable about the entire incident. Also they were able to see me when I came in and everyone was very kind and and gave me confidence to get the accurate diagnoses on the situation.
Wonderful staff, they saved my cats life after he was severely injured by a dog attack. They kept me informed of what was happening and his progress as they treated his wounds, arranged transport to our vet the next morning. Everyone I met on the staff was kind and compassionate, they clearly love animals and care deeply how they are treated. They even called me the next few days to check in on the cats progress and make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns.
As a pet owner you are upset and nervous when you have to take your pet for an emergency visit. From the time you walk into the office until the time you leave you are treated very warmly and friendly. The staff really did care about my dog. They explained every detail of what they were doing and going to do. They reviewed the discharge instructions and answered any questions.
I also received a follow-up call 2 days after I was there to see how my dog was doing.
