After my 30K miles service at Volvo, it was recommended I have my brake pads replaced. To save a little bit, I decided to have them replaced with Brake Masters.
I JUST wanted to just have new brake pads installed. Shim (sp?) called and recommended rotors and brake pads. I will be returning this car in December to the dealer (end of lease) so I asked to just have the brake pads installed, he agreed and we ended the call. He was very accommodating and was a pleasure to talk with.
Abraham subsequently called me and said I needed to have the rotors fixed/replaced as well and that I should "have my husband call him" to discuss it. I should have ended the service after this was said, but was busy at work so asked my husband call. He told my husband something about a liability if the rotors weren't replaced and not wanting to be held responsible for anything happening to me and my family. My husband agreed to the rotors and brake pads.
After I picked up my car and reluctantly paid for a service I did not want, I called the Volvo dealership to confirm I needed rotors and brake pads. They said I ONLY needed brake pads. I would have paid less at the dealer! Very disappointed.
