This is a hard review to write. I truly love my hair and am incredibly happy with it. My stylist did a wonderful job and took her time listening to me and my requests. If this review were just about the finished product I would be giving a 5. Unfortunately it is not. My issue is that A) the price stated online at time of booking for the highlight and cut for this stylist was not what I was charged. B) This is the second time that I have had a color service done since November (with two different stylists) that I have been charged an “additional color” charge of $30 without any mention of it before the start of the service. I believe that this is something that should be clearly communicated to the client. I had a specific budget for that day, and unfortunately the extra color charge ended up coming out of my stylist’s tip. I had no other choice. C) When I changed my clothes the evening after the service I noticed that the entire area around the neck of my shirt was stained. I had felt it get damp while in the bowl, but figured it was just from the shampoo, not bleach. It is ruined.. I love Aveda and have been a faithful follower for many years. This review is a catch 22. I’m very happy with my hair, my overall experience though, leaves something to be desired.
