Having been involved with animal rescue for over a decade and having had 3 dogs of my own, I've done business with a lot of vets in Austin. Every single staff member at Brodie are of the highest caliber I've dealt with. We've seen every vet there, and would recommend them all, highly. They are all very knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate and take their time answering questions and explaining things. When I call it seems the front desk staff use caller ID to look up my pets so they can quickly answer my questions if possible, but be on the same page and be able to get a question to my vet if not. I never have to start at the beginning of the story and fill them in on every detail of my pets care, like I did at my old vet. And every member of the staff is appropriate, compassionate and professional and go out of their way to help your pet and you. The main vet we see came to our house on her day off to ease our dogs suffering as he reached the last stage of cancer. They aren't cheap, but did look for cheaper alternatives as our dog with chronic liver issues needed an expensive medicine. They even called around to pharmacies and found the best price on a medicine they didn't carry. And they see us at our appointed time most of the time. Our old vet always kept us waiting for over an hour.

Dr. Burke and the staff are wonderful. I have 2 aging dogs and some hard decisions ahead of me in 2017 but they were so compassionate and caring. Highly recommend them for your fur babies!

Dr. Martin is the best vet. We have a dog who is not vet friendly but Dr. Martin know how to calm my dog down. She is very dog friendly and at no time our dog feel welcomed even when our dog wants to bite her.

While I love this facility and all the people in it, I do feel they are not always upfront about the pricing. My last visit I was given a testing kit to take home and never told the pricing. They have squeezed in some extras each time I have been there. So, while I would definitely recommend this vet, just do your homework before you are stuck with the bill.

I was a last minute call in and not an established patient. The staff was friendly and informative and was able to work me in quickly. When I arrived they already made a chart and called my previous clinic and had all my dog's records. What great service! The technician met us in the room with the Dr shortly after and they examined my dog and had a print out of the estimated expenses. Then they quickly took him back and began working on him. I was so relieved with the efficiency and professionalism of this practice. I definitely will be back with my dog as an established patient.

Had to take my boy Jake in on short notice ,they were able to fit me in at the time I needed . And I was able to get the medication Jake needed for his severe itching . The vet also drained his anal glands which was needed , . Had a mild mishap as well the vet tech was goi g to take Jake in the back and for the first time he actually growled and snapped at her and she came back in with a muzzle which he has never had to use ever and she stated she did not feel comfortable without putting on the muzzle, my thoughts he was not comfortable with her , since he never has had the issue . So nicely the vet took care of it herself which I appreciate more than ever ,,
