Brenda is a very good dental hygienist. She’s very friendly and makes me feel relaxed as she’s cleaning my teeth. She answers my questions and gives me suggestions to keeping my teeth clean and healthy.

My visit to the Harlingen Eye Clinic which is managed and run by Dr. James D. Rowe was a pleasant experience. Upon entering the clinic I was greeted with a smile and a hello. This immediately put me at ease. I was then asked if this was my first visit, after responding I was asked if I would be using insurance, to which responded "yes". I was then asked to complete the standard forms for a first time visitor and was given a pen to complete the forms. After completing the forms I returned to the reception window and was asked what type of service I was there to receive, I responded, I was thanked and then asked to wait until called. Once called to the back I was greeted by a young man with a smile who was courteous, polite, and efficient. I was then seen by Dr. Rowe within 10 minutes. Ok, so this is where the experience can either be meaningful or dreadful..... Dr. Rowe walked in and looked me in the face, smiled and extended his hand to greet me, shook my hand and said "good afternoon". He then began to look at my chart and asked what was my expected end result, I responded. Dr. Rowe did what is often not experienced in a physician's office, he treated me as a person and as some commodity or some agent to make a buck and send them on their way... he seemed to know that the word "patient" equated to HUMAN!!!! mid-way in the examination I said to Dr. Rowe, "I have to say something to you, You and your staff have been professional and courteous and you have treated me with respect and as a person, this is not often experienced this when coming to doctor's offices, the last time I had an eye exam the staff was not nice and they were cold and made me feel as if I was an interruption to their day. With you and your staff I know that you and they understand that we are people and deserve to be respected as such. Thank you for what you are doing. Please continue to do so." He smiled and thanked me. We continued with the exam and discussed the final options and moved forward to close the appointment. My last examination was used as the measure of comparison for this visit. This visit with Dr. James Rowe was pleasant, professional, and efficient. Thank you for taking the time to read this review.
