I have been going to Burt Brothers since they opened the store in Farmington. I have always felt like I have been treated fairly, that is until recently. A few years ago I was replacing a set of tires that had worn out way too quickly. They were only about 40,000 miles into an 80,000 mile warranty. I was told that I did not qualify for warranty proration on purchasing a new set of tires (I don't recall the specific reason why). After I gave them the go ahead to put on the new set of tires, I went home and looked up the specifics on the internet and found that I in fact did qualify. I returned to the store and presented what I found. They then honored the warranty. Again this weekend I needed to replace one tire that had the side wall split after 45.000 miles of a tire rated for 80,000 miles. Once again, I was told that the warranty was no good because my car was out of alignment. I explained to the manager that I bring my car in to have the oil changed and tires rotated every three months. I told him that I was relying on Burt Brothers to watch out for these issues for me. I came home and read the warranty for those tires and it says nothing about a stipulation of maintaining alignment. Now that I have been burned twice, I will be looking for another place to have my cars serviced.
