I was very unhappy with the dental assistant who cleaned my teeth. Her name is Ruby. First, I had to wait twenty minutes after my appointment time to be seen. I don't remember ever having to wait that long. She started by asking for a list of my medications that I know are in my chart. She spent some time unsuccessfully trying to find the list. If I recall correctly, every time I come in for a cleaning I am just asked if there have been any changes to my medications. There has not been. She then told me she had to get someone to help her take the measurements of my gums. Again I waited. She then proceeded to call out all the numerical measurements so that the other person could right them down. I never experienced that before. Finally, she cleaned my teeth. For the first time ever, I did not feel that "clean feeling" I always leave with. Needless to say I feel her performance level was very poor. When I left, I asked to see the dental assistant who usually cleans my teeth for my next cleaning.
