Last week I brought my baby (an original low mileage Ford F-250 OBS, 7.3) to Callahan Auto & Diesel for a rough idle/intermittent miss diagnosis.
Owning muscle cars that can be eaten off underneath, I am extremely meticulous and always concerned about the caliber of technicians working on my automobiles. Frankly, finding people to do that level of work in this day and age is somewhat of a challenge. When using most automotive services, I typically wonder just how dissatisfied I will be in the end and it seems like the less dissatisfied I am, the more acceptable the result. (A terrible way to go into a service provider). That said, I remember years ago there were service providers that from the onset you knew were going to provide a satisfactory service; but finding that today is somewhat of a curious anachronism.
Well, though it's almost hard to believe, I found that level of communication, communication and results with Callahan Auto & Diesel. Preston and Mitch are phenomenal communicators that actually look you in the eyes, discuss a strategy and work toward a common goal of rectifying the problem. It was a great experience to realize that this company absolutely acknowledges that the consumer pays their paycheck. I sensed during the entire exchange, their long-term goal was to make sure that I came back and again that is very rare today.
I highly recommend that anyone considering automotive or diesel service to at the least, go in talk with them. You'll find the place to be relatively clean and they take the time to help you fully understand what action steps will be taken during the evaluation and rectification of your problem. Further, they are excessively fair in their pricing practices.
The bottom line is, again, don't take your vehicle anywhere else until you speak with them. You will find that from the initial call, to the end result, you will be extremely comfortable, and like me, very pleased with the overall experience.
