When the appointment was made I said that both my wife and I might have a hard time getting there at 6. My wife had a meeting and I work in Northlake. I asked if we could come a little later and was told no, you were booked up. It was pouring rain and traffic was slow however I left my work early and called from the road as a courtesy. We were there just a couple of minutes past 6. We waited until 6:15 to see a tech who was given the same information I gave over the phone when making the appointment. I was also told when I made the appointment that there was a substitute vet so I was explicit with detail about the visit and said the vet should read the chart. There were no other patients being helped when we got there. Even after the tech was done we still waited for the actual vet. The vet should be a researcher. One of the worst I have ever seen. Not friendly with the animals. She spoke directly to my wife even though I was explaining and answering questions (I never want to see her again---we have NEVER had an issue with any vet we saw) She was doing who knows what and it should not have taken a half hour to see her. She was more interested in finding out if her husband called her than dealing with our dogs. I like Care Animal Hospital and the regular vets. If you need a sub get one that likes dogs. The next patient arrived as we were paying at about 7. It just was not the best visit we ever had. I still recommend the facility and the regular folks. I guess the long time receptionists are gone and I recognize things change but with your business you need the right people to be the face of CAH and that starts with reception and goes to all other staff--including subs!
