My dog had to have x rays. I was not asked if I wanted to view the x rays. I was given two pain pills which my dog did not need, he is not in any pain. I felt I was slammed with expense not needed. I have been taking my dog to this clinic for 13 years and previous animals before that. I have probably been doing business here for over 30 years. Disappointed this clinic now makes me feel like they are all about making money than caring about my animal.

We are very sorry you felt you did not receive the desired care for your dog.
One of the concerns you mentioned at your appointment was a possible urinary tract infection. Based on the results of the urine test we ran and the previous history of your dog having bladder stones, despite being on a preion diet, x-rays were the next logical step. I was given permission to take the x-ray and I believed I offered for you to see the stones, but perhaps this was misunderstood. I am sorry for that miscommunication. It is unfortunate another bladder stone was present.
The medications we sent home (one is an anti-inflammatory and one a pain medication) were also explained before we sent them. Stones can be painful and cause inflammation, resulting in pets having accidents in the home or asking to go outside frequently. Our goal was to ensure our patient was as comfortable as possible.
I am sorry if the impression we left you was that we are only concerned about making money. That is not our goal. Please feel free to call and discuss this matter with us as we very much care about our patients, as well as their pet parents.

Ladies are kind, helpful and patient when we ask a lot of questions.
Doctor is always a joy to see and she goes to the limit for our fur babies.

Dr. Stokes and the Careys staff are great. They have always been very patient and gentle with my cat, who is very nervous and hard to handle. Dr. Stokes explained clearly to me what she can and can't do, told me exact or approximate costs so nothing was a surprise, and referred us out when necessary. She also is very responsive to messages, leaves very detailed messages, and sends after care summaries by email with all the specifics. I like them a lot.

Dr. Robinson was fantastic with calling me and consulting with me with her plan of action for my morkies. Both doggies needed professional dental work. They received great care and Carey's Pet Hospital did a super job with explanations, expectations and discharge instructions! We have always has quality care at Careys.

The staff at Carey's Pet Hospital are to be commended for their help to me during this trying time in taking care of my dog Daphne. As she now has some medical issues for her age, I have all the confidence in the world that she is receiving the best possible care.
