I have mixed feelings. The vets, techs and staff are great here, but I always feel like the clinic is trying to get as much money out of us as possible. I don't feel like the vets are pushing it, but maybe more so the clinic. Do you care more about how much money you can get out of me or the health of my animals? I tell you I'm on a tight budget but yet you're trying to prescribe 5 meds, hydrate the dog, clip her nails, clean her ears, run blood work even though you already got negative results, etc. Turns out the minimum necessary was only one med, and one test which was already done. And now you ask for me to schedule a re-check which you will charge $50 for walking through the door plus whatever else. Our human doctors don't charge for re-checks, and if I remember correctly, this vet didn't used to either. I am currently looking into changing vets, which is sad. It didn't used to be this way and I really liked going there.
We are sorry you were unhappy with your experience at our clinic. While it is our medical team's number one priority to lookout for the well being of the pet, it is my priority to ensure that our entire veterinary team, as well as our boarding and grooming teams are delivering the highest level of customer service. I have reviewed with our staff the specifics of your review and would be glad to discuss them with you personally. Unfortunately, animals are unable to tell us what is wrong with them. When an issue presents itself veterinary teams must use a process of elimination to figure out what could be causing the problem. We understand this process can be draining emotionally and financially for a pet parent, which is why our veterinarians make recommendations for testing based on their experience, expertise and dedication to practicing a high level of medicine. We do take into consideration all factors and seek consent from the pet parent via a signed estimate prior to moving forward with any invoiced items. While we sympathize with the fact that veterinary care can cause unexpected expenses for the caregiver, we are not interested in financial gain from any pet's problems; we only want to see them get better. We take pride in our dedication to the highest standards in veterinary medicine while offering state of the art diagnostics and therapeutic procedures. We believe that a key element to a healthy pet is a good relationship with your veterinarian. If you would like to discuss this matter further please feel free to contact me directly.
