My experience with Cary Family Dental was not good at all. I was impressed with the office, and the staff was very nice overall. The dentist had assessed my teeth and I needed to have several cavities filled, so we set up an appointment. I had asked the receptionists several times about insurance coverage, and had even called before my initial appointment to inquire as to whether they are in my insurance company's network. They misled me and never once said they were out of my network--they kept reassuring me that "it's normal for you to pay up front for everything; your insurance company will reimburse you". They wanted to charge me almost $400 for one filling, which my insurance would only cover a small percentage because they are out of network. After speaking with my insurance company (Delta Dental), I found an office that is in my network and am paying a reasonable amount for my dental services. When I called back to ask what the heck had happened, they offered to give me 10% off, which is pennies compared to how much they were overcharging me.
I am very frustrated and angry with this whole experience; I then had to pay out of pocket for another exam to get my needs met. It even took three attempts for them to send my records to my new dentist. Seriously, find somewhere else to go.
