Love the doctor that saw my cat but there are not many doctors or techs left from before it was purchased. overall the place is awful since it changed hands. Big rate increase. I pulled my dog from there because when they took him in the back they did things that were not authorized or needed and charged me for them. This is what happens when a small town easy going, trusted practice gets bought by a Corp. worried about the bottom line more than the animals.
I'm sorry that you were not 100% satisfied with your visit. It saddens me as we all work so very hard here to provide the absolute best veterinary medicine possible. I do feel that I need to respond to your comments as a large portion of the information is inaccurate. We were purchased by Vetcor approximately 6+ years ago. Our rates, just like every other business, go up slightly every year. (I am the one who does the increases so I am aware of the amounts and they are far from drastic.) The drug companies charge us more, salaries go up, instruments and tools that we use (i.e. ultrasound machines, digital x-ray, suture, syringes) go up significantly. As far as our staff goes, many people retired, doctors included, and with the surge of people purchasing and adopting pets due to COVID I have had to hire many new employees, all local people, who I feel are more than qualified for their positions and are wonderful! I would trust anyone in this hospital to care for any of my animals. I am going to completely disagree about us caring about the bottom line more than the animals. We were the only veterinary hospital in our area taking new clients throughout COVID because we didn't want animals to suffer. We are the only veterinary clinic that I am aware of currently providing a low cost spay/neuter program for cats weekly. (and have continued it throughout COVID to keep the population down) I would be more than happy to put you in touch with clients and rescues whose animals needed major surgeries that emergency hospitals quoted $6,000 plus on that we have happily done for a small fraction of that. Our mission statement at our clinic is to provide the best possible care to our clients and patients during every visit in a caring and compassionate manner. Nothing about money, just about doing the right thing and the best that we can as a team to care for you and your animal. I would invite you to please call me so that we can discuss your visit and what went wrong. I would welcome the opportunity to make it right.
Our pet is entering into her end of life phase. The doctors and staff were more than compassionate and gave us the attention, time and information necessary for us to plan a course of action that will allow us to maintain her quality of life as long as possible. We and particularly our little girl felt much better leaving than when we arrived. They treat our pet with the same level of love and concern that we do. We couldn't ask for more!
The staff at Chester Vet Clinic is very committed to their patients and pet parents! They seem to go above and beyond other vet practices. Even when they are very busy, attention and upmost care is always given to my pet and I on our visits. With recent frequent visits with my diabetic senior cat- they have been outstanding with their care. There is always someone to answer questions and the vets are great at calling to check in following visits. Thank you for your commitment and help!
Grateful they were able to get my cat in ASAP for an emergency procedure. Kept me updated the entire time and very willing to explain procedures and home care. Polite, professional, and knowledgeable. Thanks again!
Our chihuahua loved the vet and she clearly loved him. She kneeled down to give him a treat after the exam and pet/talked to him in the most adorable way. He got a thorough exam and because he's getting older, the vet told us about some things she'll be watching out for and why they matter. Outstanding!
Shannon was very obliging and took me right in the very day I happened into her shop. I was quite unsure of what my hair needed, color-wise and cut.
Shannon took the time to explain coloring and how to place the highlights keeping my undertones (natural color). She was not rushing my decision and was not about to begin until I was fully on board with my decision.
She was easy to talk with and her beautiful, gentle dog, Gunner greeted us at the door and added to the warm, happy vibes we felt in her salon. As my daughter came along for support , she was able to bring in her work and we both relaxed with the most scrumptious cookies and a cup of hot tea.
Very happy with my outcome. Felt and looked like a new person.
I’ll be back in 6 weeks for my trim. Thank you, Shannon.
