I loved the haircut, style and overall experience concerning hair with Michelle. The shampoo guy was friendly and did a great job as well. Everyone was very friendly and professional when I arrived. It was very busy, but I felt that I received personal attention, a warm welcome, and did not feel rushed.
I was, however, bummed out regarding my manicure experience. I had an appointment for hair AND nails, but when I arrived at 9 am for my 9:15 appointment, the receptionist told me there had been issues with the scheduling system and someone had double booked the manicurist. I was offered an 11 am appointment instead, but I had somewhere else I needed to be. I did stay for my 10 am hair appointment.
My husband made the appointment as a surprise for me and (for whatever reason) used my maiden name. Chop Shop didn't have a number for my maiden name so no one was able to call me to cancel the nail appointment, and I arrived an hour earlier than I needed to.
At the very least, I feel that whoever books the appointments at Chop Shop should make sure that they have a number for the customer when the customer calls to book an appointment. I was surprised that they did not take a number down if they thought I was a new client. If I had been a new client and this was my only experience with the Chop Shop, I probably wouldn't have returned. However, I have gone to the Chop Shop for years and always have a great experience.
My husband was more upset than I was and said when he called to book the appointment, the person answering the phone seemed unfamiliar what they were doing. He was so annoyed that he almost called back and cancelled after making the appointments, but he knows how much I enjoy the Chop Shop and decided to go ahead. He was very disappointed when he learned they could only do my hair when I arrived.
I understand things happen and technical issues can pop up, but please just verify you have the correct info on file in case there are issues with the appointment.
