Coastal Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Kitty Hawk NC area for everything pet related. Our veterinary hospital is overseen by Dr. Stephen Samson, who is a licensed, experienced Kitty Hawk veterinarian. Most of all, though, Dr. Samson treats all his patients as his own and his skill and compassion are reknown throughout the Outer Banks.
Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise. Coastal Animal Hospital is at the fore front of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery. From soup to nuts it's always a pleasant experience - my dog might disagree on that - but from the human point of view it's great. Everyone is welcoming, and the entire staff show concern and consideration. We travel from Manteo and that's a fair distance but that is offset by the punctuality and readiness of the clinic and the staff. An 11am appointment means an 11am appointment, not an arrival at 11 and a wait until noon. On very rare occasions an animal in need of emergency care has delayed our appointment, but that was never a problem. If my dog needed emergency treatment I am sure that other clients in the waiting room would understand. The only regret from our last visit is that we didn't get to see Maybelline.

Appointment ran right on time. Staff is super friendly and efficient, Matthew at the front desk is a wonderful addition. Dr. Sampson is always compassionate and caring with our fur babies.
