I am quite disappointed with the experience with my visit to Coast Dental in Boynton Beach.
My first visit ended with nothing done as Coast Dental offices hadn't communicated with each other to transfer my records. The Florida office insisted that they take a full set of x-rays even though another Coast Dental office had completed them in 6 months earlier. According to my insurance carrier, I would have been responsible to pay for the second set.
A second appointment was scheduled and the file was transferred. The dentist did they exam and I was presented with a 'treatment plan' which totaled $349.00 out of my pocket. It was stressed to me that this was the only plan available to me and that I needed to do it every 3 months. That would be $1400 per year out of my pocket, in addition to the insurance I pay.
The last Coast Dental dentist I saw in 6 months earlier stated that there were no issues and that maintenance was good. He ordered a cleaning.
I strongly feel that Coast Dental in Boynton is attempting to increase income by inflating billings to their patients.
Thank you for your comment. Our dentists formulate treatment plans for each patient based on their clinical findings of a complete exam and x-rays, not based on the terms of insurance coverage. Please contact me directly at [email protected] so I can address your concerns directly. Thank you.
