I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment. I signed in, made eye contact with the receptionist who was on the phone, and had a seat. I turned my cell phone to silent. After 40 minutes, I noticed that I had received a message on my phone. It was from Coast Dental. The voice message was left at 11:15, and was asking if I was coming to the appointment. Needless to say, I did not have a good feeling about how I was mis-handled. When I asked what was going on, the staff acted ignorant of what had happened even denying that they called me! They didn't know that I had an appointment, and only sheepishly acknowledged that they did not look at the sign-in sheet! What kind of reception would you call this? I would call it incompetent. Meanwhile, the office staff were chatting and visiting with the relative of a patient who would step up to the desk and chat. Such poor customer services.
