I have been giving my business to Community Tire for 15+ years, with more than 10 sets of tires and countless brake jobs, alignments, and other services. The service has traditionally been friendly and competitively priced. Recently, however, I feel like the prices for service are creeping up to a point that they are about to lose my service business. On a recent visit as I was dropping off my vehicle I heard an employee joking about how much profit they put on parts. Later in the morning I fielded a phone call from them with a high quote for parts and labor. I do know what parts cost and how to install them; I am pretty competent and can do most things myself if I am so inclined, I just choose to use professionals for convenience and speed of service. I do highly recommend them for their core services such as tires, but for anything more involved I might consider a different shop. Once I had them replace CV shafts, and it went horribly wrong because I found out a couple years later that they used the wrong part which ruined the transaxle. To summarize, I highly recommend them for tires, especially where they will price-match a competitor, but I am careful on what I bring to them for service.
