I have dabbled in sports in my past, but would not ever consider exercise to be "enjoyable"...not, ever. I have tried gym after gym, and have done some country road running and started to have an interest in trail running. With me turning 40 in 2014, I had a strong desire to not let the lbs creep up on me (after 2 kids) and I just started to have that realization of how my body was not as optimal as I would like it to be. I had a friend who wanted to try CF and knew some people at CFV. "Oh, all right" was my response. We started 101 back in Dec 2013 and really started hitting it consistently in Jan 2014. It has only been a few months, but I tell you that God CAN do miracles! LOL! I. Am. Addicted. I never thought I would hear myself utter those words, nor did my husband. The group at CFV is so geared towards everyone ENJOYING Crossfit. They do not come from the mindset of "our box is the best and only box", but more from a community minded aspect. The owner, Adam Neiffer, really makes it apparent that he just wants people to be interested in CF and help them see how much fun it can be, that it's not just an exercise routine that you do, its not you just lifting weights or pushing or pulling on this apparatus. It's FUN! And you get a killer "whole body" workout in the process! Everyone is very friendly, there is no pressure, and the staff is very aware of everyone in the box to they can encourage, assist, teach and flat out say "You Rocked That!!". Can you tell I love this place? And I'm still quite the "newbie".
