My massage was scheduled to start at 6:00, and she did not come out to get me until 5 after, which is fine, I know that things can run over. After we did our initial assessment, things probably got started right around 10 after. The massage part was great, she really focused on my back which was needed, she was attentive to pressure points and made sure I was comfortable. My back felt great, I was looking forward to the rest for my legs and feet, when she stopped and said we were at our time. She left for me to get dressed, and the time was barely 6:45. I was really surprised, because that was right about 40 minutes. I knew we started late, but I did not think that would eat into my massage time, as I was there early and was not the reason we started late. There was no work done on my feet or legs, so I left feeling like I got half of a massage, and disappointed after I realized I didn't even get a full hour. Again, I know at some places an hour massage is usually around 50 minutes, but I think that 40 is pushing it, especially since I didn't get any work done on my legs or feet. What she did was amazing, however I feel like I was cheated out of some time.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. We value your feedback. You're absolutely right, industry standard for an hour massage is typically 50 minutes hands-on, but 40 minutes is unacceptable. We'd like to offer you a complimentary 1/2 hr massage to make things right. Feel free to contact our office to schedule. Again, we appreciate your feedback and will be sure to address this with all our therapists. We strive to make each patient interaction a valuable one, and will take your feedback to heart.
