I like my Doctor but the doctor fails to listen to me. My last visit on early May the Doctor stated on the visit summary I refused to see a dietitian, I did not refuse. I asked for a referral to see a dietician in my home town where I live. . I live a good four to six hours away depending on traffic. I got my own referral and have an appointment on October. I got a doctor at home to refer me to a dietician. On my last visit in October the after visit summary this time the Doctor wrote I overuse diuretics. This is absolutely not true. On my previous visit the Doctor told me to take 1, 20 mg lasix, if I gained weight use 2 lasix at different times ie 1 morning, 1 later in day. Which I did. So I followed Doctors orders and I am accused of over using diaretics. After a 6 hour trip I had used 2 doses of lasix my legs were quite swollen and painful from travel. The Doctor did not see the swelling. It is documented by my local doctors. I am wondering if I should have gone to a local doctor. Also on my last visit I stated the first two weeks of Septemberi had had a stomach bug with diarrhea. I clearly stated I no longer had diarrhea, but many 6 to 8 normal stool movements daily. Which is not normal for me. She stated in summary I needed to see my GI doctor that I still have diarrhea. I was very clear I no longer had diarrhea. So I feel she just does not listen to me. Listening and putting correct information on my chart is essential. I am a compliant patient, I know that transplant doctors take this in consideration. I guess I am disappointed more than anything. My husband was present at this last visit and he was shocked at the inaccuracies.
