I was recommended this clinic by a friend. My dog had a dental issue and he was unable to eat and he wasn't feeling well. He was exuding the same exact symptons one year earlier when he needed some teeth pulled. When the doctor examined him, I was immediately turned off. The doctor looked into his mouth and said "Not sure what it is, I don't see anything at the moment" Then proceeded to suggest an antibiotic and a blood test. I asked the price she told me, so I agreed to both. I then was told that the blood test would be ready the following day. Because I did not care for the doctors "indifference toward my dog, and the way she so quickly brisked through the examination, I was annoyed and uncomfortable. I went to another vet clinic that was like night and day compared to Daniel Randall. When the doctor examined my dog, he EXAMINED the dog. He also took time to talk to me about symptoms, the way the dog was acting, etc.. hey, he actually took an interest. He spent time looking at my dog's mouth and gave a more professional clear diagnosis of what he thought needed to be done. He informed me I need to provide him the blood test from Daniel Randall, and I told him I would try since their office was not providing me the blood test they took. I had taken my dog on Thursday to Daniel-Randall and I asked them on Friday to email me the estimate(for possible surgery,) and the blood test. They couldn't email anything to me! I thought that to be odd for a so-called modern office to not do email. I kept asking for the blood test, and they said it was not ready and I should be able to get it later in the day. I called at 1:30 PM and spoke to a woman who told me the blood test was ready, and also the estimate. When I arrived, they gave me the estimate, but said there is no blood test till Saturday! I told them over and over why would your employee tell me to come down and pick it up, if you don't have it? They kept their cool with me, even though I was clearly irritated for wasting my time driving over. I finally was told on Saturday the blood test would not be available till Monday! I told them it was unacceptable, and they suggested they refund my money for the test. I immediately told them yes-- I want a refund.
I took my dog to the clinic where the doctor truly seemed to take an interest in the diagnosis process and paid them to do a blood test. I had the results from the test in 15 minutes! They scheduled surgery for my little dog much sooner than what Daniel Randall offered, and their rates were far more reasonable than Daniel Randall.
While the front office at Daniel Randall was polite, they felt no sense of urgency to get my blood test, and I think there was either a lack of organization and or communication between the women who worked there. However, they were all polite to me when I clearly wasn't so nice.
I am grateful I was able to at least get my money back for the blood test and move on to a clinic with what appeared to be a more professional vet who took an interest in my animal and cared that my little dog was in pain. I will not recommend DR Clinic as a place to take your pet.
