I think Dr. Hoffman is a good surgeon, but I wish he would have spent more time in my pre-op discussing exact measurements. I did a breast Augmentation with a vertical lift, where he made my large areolas smaller. We discussed how many ccs the implant would be a lot, and that I am happy with. However, we never got into specifics of sizing of the Areola, just that he would make it smaller. Since he never brought it up in more detail, and he is the expert, I assumed he would know what would look best and maybe that's why we didn't talk about it.
Right before surgery I almost asked about it, but didn't (which I am kicking myself about now). They ended up being way smaller than I was expecting, but maybe that's what some people like, just not me.
Long story short, communication is KEY! There are no dumb questions, ALWAYS ASK if you have ANY thoughts, concerns etc. Never assume it will be a certain way, always clarify things to make sure your on the same page. It's your body & once it's done, it often can't be reversed.
This being said I still think he's a great surgeon ,just wish we would've communicated better. I only write this in hopes that someone will learn from my mistake.
