Dr. Duncan was born in Louisville, Kentucky in 1952 while his father (Rev. Clyde Duncan) was attending Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He grew up in Lakeland, Florida where he graduated from Lakeland Senior High School in 1970, and Florida Southern College in 1974. He then attended Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama, where he studied for his Master's degree in Medical Microbiology. A 1980 graduate of Emory University Dental School in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Duncan was Class President for all 4 years, #1 clinical graduate, top 10% of his class, and elected to Who's Who in American University and Colleges by the faculty and staff of the Emory Dental School. Dr. Duncan also achieved the highest score on the Georgia Board Dental Exams given at graduation time.
Dr. Duncan established his dental practice in Bradenton, Florida, in 1980. He and his wife Kelly, a Bradenton native, have been married for 37 years and have 3 children and 12 grandchildren.
Dr. Duncan practices complete comprehensive dentistry with an emphasis on restorative care. He believes in restoring people's mouths to a healthy functional state and helping them maintain this same level of health throughout their lives.

Dr. Duncan is the past president of the Manatee County Dental Association and is a member of the West Coast Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of General Dentistry (where he has received Fellowship status). He has been voted "Best Dentist" in Bradenton, and was recently chosen by his peers as one of the area's "Top Dentists". Dr. Duncan is a past member of the Hernando DeSoto Historical Society, and portrayed Hernando DeSoto during the festival in 1989.
Dr. Duncan enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, boating, and stamp collecting.
