Everyone on staff is helpful and friendly and the vet was easy to talk to, helpful and friendly.
The main reason I am giving the veterinary clinic itself a below average review is due to 3 main factors.
1. The overall appearance of the clinic is dated and shabby. The entry door is an immediate turn off. It's old and ugly - not welcoming and professional. The interior of the clinic needs tons of improvement in terms of a fresh, professional, colorful pet friendly environment. The counter is so high and so small that there isn't anywhere to put a purse in order to access a credit card. It's not user friendly and way too small.
2. There is only one very narrow entry/exit point from Waukegan Rd. As I was trying to leave the other day, another car was turning into the parking lot. I had to back up and make a complete u-turn in order to allow that car entry - and then wait for them to clear the area before I could exit out to Waukegan Rd.
3. Your address is not listed properly with Google maps. When I put in 150 Waukegan Rd., I was told "You have arrived" when I reached Hobby Lobby which is several blocks further down Waukegan than the clinic actually is - and on the other side of Lake-Cook Rd. I noticed upon leaving after I picked up my dog, that there is a sign by the driveway that says 130 Waukegan Rd. Perhaps that is the address that currently "works" with Goodle maps for your clinic. 150 Waukegan Rd. definitely does not. I had to call the clinic in order to navigate my way to your location - as my cell navigation couldn't find you. In addition, your sign being green and white tends to meld into the surrounding grass. It isn't easy to spot when you're driving by.
You have a terrific location - you need to address these issues to create a warm, welcoming, fresh and modern look for the clinic that attracts people who will want to return again and again and recommend you to others.
I don't live in the area and would not continue as a client - you are too far. I am offering these suggestions because I sincerely appreciate your willingness to work with 4Paws4ever4u - for the free spay/neuters. They are a wonderful rescue organization. I wish you all the best and want to see you and your clinic thrive. I hope these suggestions will help you to do so.
