Dr. Gordon Wong and his staff provided an excellent first-time-patient experience for me last week. I've never had an eye exam and was a little nervous at first but the entire visit turned out to be a breeze and very informative. Dr. Wong's assistant/receptionist was incredibly sweet and knowledgable throughout the pre-exam process and her kindness left me totally at ease. Dr. Wong had other patients but he didn't leave me waiting forever to meet him, which was really nice. He is super easy to talk to and took the time to answer my questions thoughtfully and explain some of the anatomy which I found really interesting. I've always been apprehensive with anything poking around near my eyes but nothing like that occurred. Not even that "puff of air" I've always heard about and I contribute that to Dr. Wong's advanced technology devices. His "cool toys" made the entire exam completely invasive. Finding the right lens Rx was interesting too. I didn't realize how clear my vision can/will be with my new glasses, which were so hard to pick because of their awesome selection of trendy frames. A little pricey but seeing clearly for the first time in years is worth it! The ones I finally chose are so cute I can't wait to rock them! :-) Overall, for my first experience at an eye doctor, I consider myself very lucky to have found such an awesome optometrist and staff and I'm looking forward to my next visit and better vision. I highly recommend Dr. Gordon Wong whether you're a first-time-patient like me or looking for a new optometrist in the San Diego area. Previous appt was not recorded so I had to come back. Fluoride is covered in my plan but it was not done during last visit. I have had to remind the hygienist in the past. Shouldn’t my dental record have that on file?
