I got a same day appointment which was nice. The assistant that took me back to the room and get X-rays cut my gums up trying to shove the film in there to get a picture. I told her the first time it hurt and was really sharp but she said “it’s like 10 seconds so just bite down”. I kept telling her I literally can’t with the way she has it because there’s a part that is cutting my gums after she tried a second time which cut me more. She rolled her eyes and said “I’ll let the doctor know you can’t do it”. So rude! I take pain well but not when you’re being rough cutting my gums and treating me like I’m a problem. Plus, I was already in pain since I was there to get a tooth pulled. Then while getting the extraction done she kept not paying attention and was shoving the metal thing (don’t care to know technical terms) she was using to press my lip down towards the back on my throat many different times and I had to keep moving my head back a little so it would stop since I couldn’t talk. A different assistant came in named Jessica who was nice and personable when giving my discharge paperwork which I appreciated. She took over for the first assistant half way through thankfully and never stuck the metal thing in my mouth too far. The doctor was nice, straight to the point, and I gave him quite a difficult tooth to pull but he was able to do it. My experience would’ve been great had it not been for that first assistant. Having that cut right next to the extraction has caused more discomfort unfortunately. I will give this place another chance in the future but will probably check out the Ann Arbor location instead of Waterford.
