Brenda anf the staff were nothing but the best in town, for accurate and great customer service. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else, because they are honest, and they are courtious, and that say's alot in this county.

Knowledgable, professional staff and well kept facilities too.

While my car was taken care of and runs great, I could have used some more calls on it's progress. A call the second night would have been nice letting me know that it would not be ready first thing and that there was a few hours of work left on it.

The work was excellent but very, very, very expensive. Don't go here if your on a budget. Like most mechanics they are parts changers, not parts fixers. They also would not even consider giving me a rough estimate of a simple rear brake pad change as far as cost. I don't like this kind of song and dance so I will take it somewhere that will. I'm well aware that other things may need to be done when you get in there, but an idea of what it will cost on something as common as this, that's just bad business guys... Also the vehicle you said needed a $1,100 catalectic converter passed smog at someone elses shop and is good to go for another 2 years. Thanks anyway , but even a sucker fish gets away sometimes....

Sincerely, Bryan Strother

Dirks Automotive And Transmissions replied:

Bryan we only replace the parts needed to make the job a 100%. We are not a facility that just does a band aid repair.

That's why we like to inspect what we are going to do and give a legitimate estimate. Debbie's vehicle had a driveabilty issue with a catalytic code. The estimate was to replace a cracked manifold along with a catalytic converter to solve more than one problem. Doug Dirks

$190 for testing for non working spedo is too high. total cost of repair to replace the wires leading to speed sensor was $289.66. Come on! couldn't he have wiggled the wires BEFORE doing all the other diagnostics? (wiggling the wires was how the problem was diagnosed)

The place is very professional but for your average repair they are too expensive.

Dirks Automotive And Transmissions replied:

The repair was $99.66.No one likes to pay for diagnostic work because it has no physical value. But when hooking up high dollar piece of equipment not to just read codes which yours had 12 but also to look at live data. Then to take that information and review it online with the technical resource that we subscribe to give us a starting place. We then get a wiring diagrams find connection locations so we can start testing the wiring connections and sensors.Every vehicle is different. Our techs are trained and try to take the shortest path as possible to solve the problem. At this time it appears that we have done that.Thank you for bringing the vehicle back and allowing us to do the repair.
