I had a wonderful Swedish Massage at Dosha. Upon entry, I checked in and was offered tea or water. If you haven't tried their calming tea, you are missing out; it's amazing! While the downstairs salon is a bit loud and hectic, when you arrive upstairs, the atmosphere becomes extremely welcoming and relaxing. I was given a locker and changed into my robe. I sat in the waiting area where you can drink your tea and enjoy dried cranberries and nuts until your name is called. Once in the room, we discussed any concerns. I mentioned I was mainly there for relaxation, but also had some neck and shoulder soreness, due to my desk job. The massage was very relaxing and I loved the warm towels that were draped on me during various points of the massage. She did apply more pressure in my areas of concern, which was great. After the massage I enjoyed the soaking pool and steam room. (Don't forget your bathing suit as these rooms are coed.) I finished with a shower and did not feel at all rushed or hurried out. It set a tone for calmness for the rest of my day.
My only concerns that made this a 4/5, would be that my appointment was the first of the day, so if you want to use the soaking pool or steam room prior to your appointment, you only have a 15 minute window, as that is the earliest they open their doors. I opted to go after, since I didn't want to feel rushed. Also, they didn't specifically ask me my desired pressure level, which I didn't think about until while the massage was happening and I wished it had been firmer. I wasn't asked how the pressure was even well into the massage, so I had to chime in and ask. She immediately delivered and it was great, I just found it unusual to not have had a masseuse check in with you. Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend this place to anyone. It's my absolute favorite place to get a massage.
