I love coming in! It starts with Kim at the front desk. She is friendly and starts the visit off by making it a comfortable fun experience. Kay Holthouse is my hair designer. She is awesome. Listens to what I want and makes my visit more like a visit with friends!
I came in yesterday to get highlights. I walked out very unhappy with my results due to my roots being very dark brown and the rest of my hair a light brown/blonde. It does not match at all. It looks very bad, my husband...my friends all said, o my goodness...what happened to your hair. When I told the stylest that is was too dark...he just kept saying it will fade after a couple of washes which in unacceptable after paying $200. The other stylest came up to front desk and agreed that it was too dark and told me to wash it with dawn soap?!?I just paid $200!!! No one offered to correct it or to ask me to come back in for a color correction. It is the worse color I have ever gotten, I look ridiculous and cannot believe that Douglas Carroll would want their name on this highlight job. So no, I probably will not be back and no...I will not recommend anyone. Next time a client walks out as unhappy as I did yesterday....you do not make them pay and most importantly fix the mistake....all the stylist knew it was too dark and that the toner or color was left on too long, which I am not even sure why it was put on my hair when I only asked for highlights!! Very sweet stylist who work there but horrible highlight job.
I always enjoy coming to Douglas Carroll for a haircut. The atmosphere is relaxed and staff are friendly. I've been a customer for over 10 years and I'm very pleased that I found this salon when I first moved to the triangle. Jessica has been my stylist for a number of years and I would recommend her to anyone!
