First things: Natalie's work was excellent and this is in no way reflective of her work per se.
I went in for a keratin treatment. Natalie told me that due to the density and length of my hair it would be the base price -- $275 (my hair hits the base of my neck and due to prior processes is not very dense). Overall, she said, it would not go over $350. The $75 difference I imagined would be for her time which wouldn't be over 2 hours due to the length and density --- I calculated about $37.50. I ultimately decided for the Keratin Express. The process took about 1.5 hours. Once done I asked her how my tips looked and she said they were a tad split. I asked whether it required an entire haircut or some dusting. She said it's very little and proceeded to dust my hair. I was certainly expecting to pay for the dusting, but I did not expect it to be the entire charge of $51 for a hair cut. My KE ended up being $200 --- which meant either the hourly service went up to $43 or the base price no longer applied (even though neither the density nor length of my hair changed) --- the discrepancy on either end does not make very much sense. I would also have opted out of the dusting were it disclosed to me it would cost an entire haircut. Overall, while the service was indeed well done, the pricing practices are quite questionable.
