I gave these guys every chance in the world to try and do a decent job. They tried their hardest to screw me over. Here is my experience.
I am a college student whose screen malfunctioned in the middle of an assignment. I took it to these guys who told me it would need the screen replaced. They told me this job would take 7-10 days. I called after the twelfth and they never started the job. That was the first red flag.
I gave them a call after 11 days and they told me my laptop still was not ready. Okay, that’s fine, I understand I thought.
About a week goes by and I call again that Thursday. “It is on my work bench and I am looking at it right now!” They said.
“Okay great! Do you think it will be ready today, tomorrow?”
“We’ll give you a call when it’s ready.”
Fast forward to Monday, I had not heard anything from them yet. It’s been over two weeks, and my laptop was next in line four days ago, surely it is finished by now.
I call back,
“Hi is my laptop ready?”
“Not quite, your next in line though.”
This is when my patience started to dwindle. We are approaching the three week benchmark when I was told 7-10 days originally. Not to mention they told me I was next in like four days ago and they are telling me the same thing now.
“What’s going on over there?” I asked. “ I was next four days ago.”
“Oh well we are just really busy, sorry.”
I finally get the call two days later that my screen replacement is ready after almost three weeks.
I finally go in to pick it up. I thank the gentleman, get my laptop to my car, and open it up to examine my new screen.
Scratches!!! They ordered and replaced my broken screen with one that had scratches on it.
I walked back in to show these guys what they did and they couldn’t believe it.
“Was it like that when you brought it in?”
“You just replaced the screen. This is new. You did this, not me.”
“This is unacceptable” said Tom, the manager.
“Leave it here, we’ll order you a new one and have it replaced.”
“Okay, well you’ve already had it three weeks and I need my laptop for school. Also, how much is this going to cost me for another screen?”
“No cost, it was our mistake.”
I wasn’t happy but since they were willing to do the work for free I would let it go. I finally get a call from them a week later, not only telling me they hadn’t ordered my new screen yet, but that it would cost me another $160 to have it replaced.
When I say I was heated that’s an understatement. You could have fried an egg on the back of my neck I was so mad. They charged me $360 for a screen replacement that they screwed up, and proceeded to try and charge me another $160 for THEIR mistake. I told them not to order the new screen and that I would be there soon to pick it up.
This job took over a month, and not one thing was done correctly throughout the process. This establishment is phony, does poor work, and is more money motivates than ethically motivated. Save yourself the time, money, and trouble and do not bring your business here
