Dr. Maggio has been providing chiropractic care since 1992 after graduating from Logan College of Chiropractic..
Dr. Maggio is a New Mexico State board certified Chiropractic Physician and holds a specialty board certification as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). As a CCSP, Dr. Maggio focuses in sports related injuries and the treatment and rehabilitation of those injuries. Certification is obtained from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (ACBSP).
He has received a certification of completion in Chiropractic rehabilitation and orthopedics and has successfully completed an advanced course of study at the Spine Research Institute of San Diego, in the diagnosis and clinical treatment of cervical acceleration/deceleration trauma and related temporomandibular joint disorders, caused by motor vehicle collisions.
Dr. Maggio is certified as a Full Body Active Release Technique (ART) provider, one of only three certified providers in New Mexico, which encompasses treatment of soft tissue injuries that are acute or chronic, of the spine, upper extremities and lower extremities. Dr. Maggio is a member of the ART 'Elite Provider Network', which is a group of providers whose higher skill level of care permits for the opportunity to provide onsite care to groups of employees at their place of employment.
Dr. Maggio provided onsite care to the Albuquerque Isotopes AAA baseball team for several years. Dr. Maggio had worked very closely with the University of New Mexico's Athletic Department athletic trainers and medical staff, from 2009 2014, providing onsite care to the numerous and varied University of New Mexico Lobo athletes, from the cross country runner to the Lobo football linebacker.
It is Dr. Maggio's combination of experience and skills (Chiropractic, ART and more) which over the years have directed the elite, collegiate and professional athletes, the weekend warriors and the octogenarian to seek out Dr. Maggio for specialized care and a speedy recovery.

I don't have any experience comparing Downtown Chiropractic with anyone else, but my visit was friendly and encouraging. Dr. Maggio took the time to understand my situation and developed a plan to address it. The manipulations seemed to focus on the area of my pain. This was my first time so I don't know if future visits will correct my situation but I'm encouraged.
