$55 for a contact fitting is a bit much.
Dr. Gottlieb Optometry-Del Amo replied:
I'm sorry Robert if you feel like the fitting for contacts is too much. We are however contracted through your insurance company and are only following the plan, we can, in no way alter these amounts due to our agreement with them. This would be the case and the charge if you went to any other provider for your insurance. There are alternate insurance plans with different levels of coverage and in some cases they may cover the fitting in full.
