The job was completed much sooner than I expected and I actually drove out of the shop and up to visit my son in Middletown as a test drive. The truck performed flawlessly up and back. I did have a scare this morning when the snow forced me to engage 4 wheel drive to get up my driveway. That too worked well to get me into the street and out of my unplowed neighborhood. However, when I attempted to return to 2 wheel drive, I was unable to do so. At first, I thought the shop must have left something disconnected. A little investigation on my part revealed the problem was, in fact, driver-induced because I failed to follow the published procedure for shifting from 4 wheel drive low range back into 2 wheel drive. When I followed the correct procedure, much to my relief, the transmission functioned as designed. Thanks again, Nick's.
